Stephen and Corissa Olson Pastors
Stephen hails from sunny Southern Oregon, while Corissa is from right here in beautiful Bremerton. They love life in the Pacific Northwest. When it's cloudy, they hike. When it's sunny, they take their camper to the coast. And when it's rainy, they read novels. Stephen has a Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has been in full-time pastoral ministry for eleven years. Corissa has a Masters in Counseling from Northwest University and works as a clinical manager at a local behavioral health organization. They have been married for seventeen years and have three children who have already surpassed them with their math skills.
Ben and Ruby Scheffer Worship and Youth Directors
Ben and Ruby love living in the Pacific Northwest and have been married for thirteen years. Ben has led worship in churches for more than fifteen years. Together they enjoy good friends and good music! They are always up for a fun adventure, a challenging hike, and deep conversations.
Karmen Standeford Kids Director
Karmen is a teacher at heart who loves connecting with kids and youth on their level. Karmen has a Bachelor's of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education and she works as an outdoor educator in Bremerton. When she's not at church or teaching, she enjoys reading, writing, and conversing with both humans and animals.
Mary Ann Liebmann Church Administrator
Mary Ann has worn many hats during her time at Discovery, and she has worn them all well. Norman and Mary Ann have lived in Bremerton for almost fifty years. Together they enjoy good coffee, day trips to the coast, and evenings with a good movie. Mary Ann is a rare church super hero who can put on a puppet show, balance a budget, and make a mean macchiato, all in one Sunday.
Nicholas Roberts Media Director
Nick is smooth like chocolate, sharp like caffeine, and spicy like sriracha. He makes everything better. Nick grew up in Bremerton and enjoys the films, art, and culture of the Pacific Northwest. His video-editing skills will probably land him in bigger roles or bigger churches, but until that day comes, we will continue to sabotage his applications.
